Next to each door is a sign:

  • Door 1: “Door 2 is safe.”

  • Door 2: “Door 3 is safe.”

  • Door 3: “Door 1 is dangerous.”

Let’s figure it out in simple words:

  • If Door 1 were safe, none of the signs would be true. Thus, Door 1 isn't the safe door. 
  • If Door 2 were safe, two signs would be true. So, Door 2 is also not the safe door. 
  • If Door 3 is safe, then only Door 2’s sign (“Door 3 is safe”) is true. This is the door we're looking for.
